It’s fun to throw things at Mr. T’s Head!

Here we have a sprinkler toy gone astray. Mr. T’s Water War by Lakeside Toys 1984. The object here is to make 2 teams, turn on the hose and Mr T will shoot water at you. You can counter act this by throwing wet sponges at his head and force the spray to the other side and the wtarer will then hit the other team.

It seems as though this game has no real point or ending…much like Mr. T’s career! I am joking, all who know me know that I am a big fan of the legend.

Ultraman’s Private Time

Here we have one of those nifty solar powered head bobbers. This is a bootleg, if you couldn’t discern that on your own. It is Ultraman um, doing his morning business. The concept for the design escapes me. Who on the Knock-Off committee said we need a Pop Culture Television Icon toy, but it needs to be different. Any thoughts? That’s it! Ultraman on the pooper! The kids will Love it!

The 2 best things about this toy are as follows:

First.  It’s name. “Toilet Shaking Toy”. You figure it out.

Next. The fact that Spiderman is pictured on the box. He must really need to drop the kids off at the pool.

Flocking Uni-Peg????

I am a bit stunned by this one. About 9″ long and 5″ high. It is flocked in white fur all over. Gold highlights on the hooves, nose and horn and a glass looking eye. There are absolutely no manufacturer markings on this thing. It is a unicorn with wings (is there a name for this creature)? It is oddly appealing and I can’t sotop touching it…Uh, maybe I should end here.

A close-up of the beauty that is Uni-Peg…

Suggestive Cigarettes

This is one of the highlights of my Americana/Oddball collection. I have not been able to garner much info on it. According to the seller, it is a WWII era cigarette dispenser/holder. The lid can be removed to fill with cigarettes (Lucky Strike filter-less size only). The small metal button to right of the cheek is pressed and the cigarette juts out of the open mouth. I have 2 questions. First, is it a man or a woman? Also, what ethnicity is the face? Arab, Indian or what? Nonetheless, it is a beautiful piece and I have not seen another like it.

Flies Like A Kite!….?

This chunky piece of Vader memorabilia stumbled across my plate recently. Iam not a Star Wars collector, but this screamed at me. Lets break it down. It is a “Parasail Kite”. So it is really just a parachute with a large plastic figure attached. The funny thing is, the kite handle and string are a “bonus” item. Really? How could it “Fly like a kite” without it? Well at least Vader is ready for his trip to Cancun with 4-Lom and Ig88….

The Devil Warriors

I first saw this little guy about 10 years ago in an old friends collection. It was loose and magnificent. His exposed brain makes this dollar store figure a candidate for best knock-off figure of the 90′s. The image on the card reminds me of an S.O.D. album cover. Oh to return to the days of the back patch on the jean jacket…

Sub Scan for Atari 2600

Classic gaming has come into its own over the past few years. Prices for sealed games have shot through the roof, sometimes commanding thousands of dollars for very bad games. I ran across this in a box of Atari games I purchased. This defines 1980′s art and gaming for me. What a strange image. Robots piloting a submarine? I’m very afraid of that world….
